Job Description:

We’re currently recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2) to join our clients team based in the West Midlands. This contract-based role offers a competitive hourly rate, flexible working hours, and a collaborative environment with an experienced team.

We’re particularly interested in Class 2F RBIs, but we’re open to considering professionals registered under any Class 2 category under the Building Safety Regulator framework.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out site inspections across a mix of residential and commercial developments
• Ensure full compliance with Building Regulations and current legislation
• Maintain accurate and timely inspection records and reports
• Liaise confidently with contractors, developers, and colleagues
• Provide clear, practical technical advice and solutions

Requirements:

• Registered Building Inspector – Class 2 (preferably Class 2F, but all Class 2 levels considered)
• Proven experience in Building Control, either in a Local Authority or private sector setting
• Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Confident communicator with good reporting and organisational skills
• Ability to manage your own workload and work independently
