Job Description:

We’re currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2) to join out clients Building Control team based in Cambridgeshire. This is a flexible, contract-based role offering excellent hourly pay, autonomy, and part-time options — ideal for experienced inspectors looking for flexibility and rewarding work.

We are particularly keen to hear from Class 2F Registered Building Inspectors, but will consider candidates holding any Class 2 registration under the Building Safety Regulator framework.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out site inspections across residential and commercial builds
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and current legislation
• Accurately record inspection findings and complete reports
• Liaise with contractors, developers, and internal teams
• Provide technical advice and ensure high-quality standards are met

Requirements:

• Registered Building Inspector – Class 2 (ideally Class 2F, but all Class 2 considered)
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant legislation
• Previous experience in Building Control, either in the private sector or Local Authority
• Confident communication and report-writing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own inspection schedule
