Job Description

We’re currently recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector (Class 1) to join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation based in Essex. This is a permanent, full-pay opportunity offering flexibility, career development, and genuine support to progress within Building Control.

Whether you’re an experienced RBI returning to the industry or looking to take the next step toward Class 2 registration, this role provides the structure and support you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections on a variety of residential and commercial projects
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and relevant legislation
• Maintain accurate records and submit timely reports
• Liaise with contractors, developers, and the wider team on site matters
• Provide technical guidance and advice where needed

Requirements

• Registered Building Inspector (Class 1)
• Actively working towards Class 2 registration (or willing to)
• Previous experience in Building Control or Local Authority inspections
• Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
