The Role:

This Building Control Surveyor position has a Domestic focus however for those seeking a variety of workload, the business does have a Major Projects team in order to offer exposure to higher complexity projects. You would be ‘remote’ based, so mileage is accrued from home, with no expectation to attend the office. There is also a plan checking support team and a large admin team to help ensure your role is as comfortable & efficient as possible.

Typical Responsibilities:

· Undertaking site visits, preparing site visit reports and witnessing tests.

· Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulations approvals.

· Attending client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building control work.

Person Specification:

· Extensive prior experience in the role of Building Control Surveyor on different types of buildings and projects through the delivery of site inspections and plan checks

· Full or Associate Membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE or CIOB

· Conversant with the interpretation of building regulations, construction processes, legislation and requirements

· Full UK Driving Licence and use of a car
