A brand-new position for a Regional Manager (or an ambitious Senior Building Control Surveyor looking to progress) has been created by a leading Approved Inspector to oversee a team of Surveyors in their Eastern region (Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Hertfordshire, Northants, Lincolnshire).

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small yet growing regional team within an Approved Inspector that really is at the forefront of the industry. The team deal with a diverse array of projects covering anything from small domestic to complex commercial/residential schemes and continue to win big/unique developments, so there is plenty variety to keep you on your toes.

The company offers a highly flexible working setup with just 1 (or 2 max) days/week in the Cambridgeshire office to ensure effective support and collaboration with your team (particularly the more junior members). This is a highly capable team with both experienced Senior Surveyors and Trainee’s, so will suit Managers of all levels, including enthusiastic Senior Surveyors looking for progression. You’d have the backing of a talented and highly supportive Regional Director to provide the perfect platform for success and growth.

· Manage a small team of Building Control surveyors to ensure they are delivering services within agreed standards

· To deliver agreed procedures to provide effective building control services on a range of projects in terms of size and complexity

· Undertake site inspections and review of plans and other associated matters for compliance with building regs and associated legislation

Person Specification:

· Professional Membership of CABE, RICS, CIOB or equivalent

· Extensive experience delivering a building control service on different types of buildings and projects through the delivery of site inspections and plan checks

· Prior management experience is preferable however experienced Building Control Surveyor’s with the enthusiasm to progress and ability to demonstrate potential to operate in a managerial role will be equally considered

· Conversant with the interpretation of building regulations, construction processes, legislation and requirements
