Who are we?
A new brand, here to re-brand recruitment
Confido is a specialist recruitment company, born from a desire to set a new standard of recruitment based upon genuine trust and reliable quality. We serve skill-short sectors that demand First Class recruitment to identify First Class candidates, and we are proven experts at exactly that.
The word ‘Confido’ directly translates to ‘trust in’, ‘put confidence in’ and ‘rely upon’. By definition, Confido Consult’s purpose is to be a trusted consultant our clients and candidates can rely upon, whilst also being an approachable source to confide in for professional advice.
How do we do this?
We specialise in niche markets to ensure our consultants are experts in their field and therefore committed to persistently obtaining invaluable insights into the employers and opportunities we promote.
To us, our knowledge would not be valuable without complete transparency, and without the combination of the two, we are no different to the age-old recruiter stereotype (go on, google ‘recruiters are’ for a hint…).
By focusing on quality over quantity and taking the time to treat every step of the process with empathy, consistency and upmost honesty, we can ensure each engagement is the right engagement and subsequently long-term.
Meet the team
After graduating with a Sport Science degree in 2015, naturally the next step was recruitment… during my 8-year career to date, I’ve worked for a few different types & style of agency, both in the UK and Australia, which has really helped shape my identity & values as a recruiter.
Upon returning to the UK in 2019, I re-specialised in Building Control & Warranty Surveying and it’s safe to say, developed a real passion for the industry. After quickly making a name for myself, recognised for my uniquely transparent and thorough approach, I was determined to combine my passion for the sector with a long-standing passion for changing the perception of recruitment as a whole. And here we are, Confido is born.
In my personal time, I’m a keen sports person and love football, it’s just a shame my team haven’t made it easy post-2010 (Portsmouth). After a persistent ACL injury put a halt to my own footballing career ambitions, I’ve recently begun working towards my professional golfing career (and failing).
Outside of Sport, I have a son (well, technically he’s a sausage dog) who likes to think he’s a German Shepherd, so takes up most of my spare time with big walkies (his biggest to date is Snowdon summit, like it was nothing!).

Meet Ben, the Kung Fu Recruiter!
Ben joined Confido in January 2024 as a Resource Consultant and quickly made a name for himself through his dedication and expertise. Within just 12 months, Ben was deservedly promoted to Recruitment Consultant (under our very high standards), and with the Senior Consultant promotion already within sight, his future with Confido is undoubtedly bright. Now recognised as one of the UK’s leading specialists in public sector contract recruitment for Building Control professionals, Ben’s impact is already being felt across the industry.
When he’s not hard at work, Ben is an avid Martial Artist and Combat sports competitor, training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and Muay Thai. His love for travel also takes him across the globe, with recent trips to Thailand, the Maldives, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic (we’re starting to think we pay him too much!).
Ben is known for his approachable nature and his unwavering commitment to providing the best possible service for both candidates and clients. Meet Laura, the mastermind behind all things operations and candidate resourcing at Confido. With a background in customer service in both the pharmaceutical and medical fields, she brings a wealth of experience in her transition to the construction recruitment world. Her recent switch from Team Lead for a leading Covid testing manufacturer to Resourcing & Operations Assistant at Confido Consult has been a seamless transition, as she effortlessly balances work with motherhood to her young son and daughter, and even finds time for her husband and friendly feline friend, Nala (not sure if you’ve noticed, but we are definitely pet people here).Laura is responsible for overseeing everything from candidate resourcing to administration support, and everything in between. She’s got a sharp eye for detail and a creative approach to problem solving that make her a valuable asset to the team. With her extensive background in strategy, administration, and communications, she ensures that Confido Consult stays ahead of the game, delivering top-notch services to its candidates and clients.With her infectious energy and can-do attitude, Laura is a real joy to work with. She brings a fun and humorous approach to everything she does, making the work environment a lively and enjoyable place to be. Whether she’s on the phone to candidates, or overseeing the day-to-day business operations, Laura always finds a way to get the job done with a smile on her face.
