A brand-new opportunity for an experienced Building Control Surveyor (or Inspector) has been created by a leading Approved Inspector as a result of continued growth of their highly successful Manchester office, to be ideally based anywhere within Greater Manchester (areas can be shifted around to suit). This is a remote role with travel to inspections from home.

The Role:

This Building Control Surveyor position has a Domestic focus however for those seeking a variety of workload, the team is currently managing a good number of larger schemes and plenty smaller commercial. You would be based from home, attending sites locally with the option of utilising the nearby office for team meetings/catch ups (although no expectation to attend the office).

Typical Responsibilities:

• Undertaking site visits, preparing site visit reports and witnessing tests.
• Undertaking plan checks submitted for Building Regulations approvals.
• Attending client and design team meetings to give professional advice regarding building control work.

Person Specification:

• Extensive prior experience in the role of Building Control Surveyor on different types of buildings and projects through the delivery of site inspections and plan checks
• Full or Associate Membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE or CIOB
• Conversant with the interpretation of building regulations, construction processes, legislation and requirements
• Full UK Driving Licence and use of a car
