This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Building Control Surveyor to join a thriving, reputable team in the South West. Suitable candidates will be based anywhere within Devon and Cornwall (remote based with adhoc Team ‘get togethers’ circa 1 day per week).

The team currently work on a broad spectrum of both Commercial & Domestic projects, with a growing reputation as the leading Building Control providers in the area. Due to growing demand to service Domestic clients, the opportunity for someone to take a lead on Domestic projects has now been created (with the opportunity to work on Commercial if of interest).

Regardless of your location within the South West, you will be given the tools and guidance to take a lead on Domestic projects both in existing locations and local to home. There is no limit to progression in this role, with provision of wider business support and investment to grow your own team alongside your own growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects and clients in design meetings, providing expert input.

• Undertaking plan checks & site inspections of work in progress to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations.

• Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, including both Commercial and Domestic.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a Building Control Surveyor capacity (Domestic), whilst experience in Commercial projects would be desirable.

• Full or Associate Membership of a relevant professional body such as RICS, CABE or CIOB.

• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to engage with architects and clients.

• A proactive attitude and a desire to contribute to the company’s vision.
